The Journey That Shaped My Work
Every healthcare professional has a journey that shapes the way they understand health and illness. Mine has been guided by one fundamental question:
Why do so many people continue to struggle even after receiving treatment?
During my medical education and later through clinical practice, I repeatedly met individuals living with persistent stress, anxiety, poor sleep, chronic pain, psychosomatic symptoms and lifestyle-related health concerns. Many had already received appropriate medical care, yet their symptoms often continued to affect their daily lives, relationships and overall well-being.
These experiences made me realize that treating a symptom alone is not always enough. Behind every symptom is a person—with a unique history, environment, lifestyle, emotional experiences, beliefs, habits and nervous-system responses. Understanding these interactions became one of the most important turning points in my professional journey.
My formal medical education began at the Ayurveda Campus, Institute of Medicine (Tribhuvan University), Kathmandu, where I completed my Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (BAMS) between 2012 and 2018. This education provided me with a strong foundation in medical science, clinical diagnosis, preventive healthcare and the holistic principles of Ayurveda. More importantly, it introduced me to a way of thinking that viewed health as the result of balance rather than simply the absence of disease.
As my clinical experience grew, so did my curiosity about the relationship between the brain, nervous system, body, thoughts, emotions and lifestyle. I wanted to understand why stress could influence digestion, why chronic pain could affect mood, why emotional experiences could appear as physical symptoms, and why lifestyle often determined whether recovery was temporary or sustainable.
This search for deeper understanding eventually led me to pursue postgraduate training in Yoga Medicine at S-VYASA Deemed-to-be University, Bengaluru, India, where I completed my Doctor of Medicine (MD) in Yoga) from 2020 to 2023.
My postgraduate education significantly expanded my understanding of evidence-based Yoga Medicine, neuroscience, psychophysiology, behavioural science, therapeutic yoga and lifestyle medicine. It strengthened my appreciation that health is not the product of one system working in isolation, but the result of continuous communication between the brain, nervous system, body and daily life.
Over the years, I have come to see Mind–Body Medicine not as a separate branch of healthcare, but as a practical framework for understanding how different aspects of human health influence one another. Physical symptoms, emotional experiences, thoughts, behaviours, sleep, movement, nutrition, relationships and environment are often interconnected. When one part changes, it frequently affects the others.
This perspective gradually transformed the way I practice medicine.
Today, every consultation begins with understanding the individual before focusing on the condition. Rather than asking only "What disease does this person have?", I also ask "What factors are shaping this person's health?"
This way of thinking allows me to look beyond isolated symptoms and understand the broader patterns that influence well-being. It has become the foundation of my work in Mind–Body Regulation Consultation, Yoga Medicine, professional education, research and community health.
Alongside clinical practice, I have had the privilege of working with healthcare professionals, yoga teachers, hospitals, schools, colleges, government organizations and community groups through workshops, training programs and educational initiatives. These experiences have reinforced my belief that improving health requires more than individual treatment—it also requires education, awareness and the development of healthier communities.
This belief ultimately inspired me to establish Arogya Movement, an initiative dedicated to making evidence-based health knowledge practical, accessible and meaningful for everyone. Through consultations, research, writing, training and public health education, Arogya Movement reflects my commitment to helping individuals not only recover from illness but also build healthier and more resilient lives.
Today, whether I am consulting with a patient, teaching healthcare professionals, writing, conducting research or speaking at a workshop, my purpose remains the same:
To help people better understand the connection between the mind, body and lifestyle, and to use that understanding to build healthier, more meaningful and sustainable lives.

My Approach
Understanding Health Beyond Symptoms
The way I practice medicine today is shaped by one simple belief:
Health cannot be fully understood by looking at symptoms alone.
Every individual is unique.
Two people with similar symptoms may have completely different life experiences, stress patterns, physical health, emotional responses, sleep quality, daily routines and personal goals. For this reason, I believe that effective healthcare begins with understanding the person before focusing on the condition.
When someone consults me, I do not only ask "What symptoms are you experiencing?"
I also try to understand:
• How is your nervous system responding to stress?
• How is your sleep affecting your recovery?
• How are your thoughts and emotions influencing your daily life?
• How is your lifestyle supporting—or working against—your health?
• What strengths and resources do you already have?
This broader understanding allows me to develop a more personalized and practical approach for each individual.
Rather than relying on a single technique or one fixed method, I integrate different evidence-based approaches according to the person's needs. Depending on the situation, this may include:
- Comprehensive assessment
- Mind–Body education
- Evidence-based counselling
- Nervous-system regulation strategies
- Yoga Medicine
- Breathing and relaxation techniques
- Lifestyle assessment and modification
- Personalized home practice
- Regular follow-up and progress review
The goal is not simply to reduce symptoms.
It is to help people understand their own health more clearly, develop healthier patterns and build long-term physical, mental and emotional well-being.
Every recommendation I provide is guided by three principles:
Scientific Evidence
Using approaches supported by the best available research.
Personalized Care
Recognizing that every individual has different needs, abilities and goals.
Practical Application
Designing interventions that people can realistically apply in their daily lives.
Ultimately, my aim is not only to help people feel better today, but also to provide them with the understanding and skills needed to care for their health long into the future.

What I Do
Every person's health journey is unique. Over the years, my work has expanded beyond individual clinical consultation to include education, research and community health. Today, I contribute in four interconnected areas, all guided by the same philosophy—helping people achieve better health through evidence-based Mind–Body Medicine.
Whether I am consulting with an individual, teaching healthcare professionals, conducting research or developing public health initiatives, my goal remains the same: to combine scientific knowledge with practical solutions that improve people's lives.
Mind–Body Regulation Consultation
Mind–Body Regulation Consultation is the core of my clinical practice.
Many health concerns—including stress, anxiety, poor sleep, emotional imbalance, psychosomatic symptoms and lifestyle-related conditions—are influenced by the continuous interaction between the brain, nervous system, body, thoughts, emotions and daily habits.
Rather than focusing only on symptoms, I begin by understanding the individual as a whole. Every consultation includes a comprehensive assessment of physical health, psychological well-being, lifestyle patterns and personal goals. Based on this understanding, I develop an individualized plan that may integrate evidence-based counselling, nervous-system regulation, Yoga Medicine, breathing practices, lifestyle modification and personalized home practice.
My objective is not only to reduce symptoms but to help individuals better understand their own health, improve self-regulation and build sustainable long-term well-being.

Yoga Medicine
Yoga Medicine is much more than physical exercise.
It is the therapeutic application of evidence-based yoga practices to support health promotion, disease prevention and recovery. My work in Yoga Medicine combines traditional yogic principles with modern scientific understanding, allowing practices to be selected according to the individual's health condition, physical capacity and clinical goals.
Depending on the situation, Yoga Medicine may include therapeutic movement, breathing techniques, relaxation practices, meditation and lifestyle guidance. The emphasis is always on safety, personalization and practical application rather than one standardized routine for everyone.
Through Yoga Medicine, my aim is to help individuals improve physical function, emotional well-being, resilience and overall quality of life.

Frequently Asked Questions
❤️ Emotion – Emotional awareness, regulation
🌿 Lifestyle – Daily routine, nutrition, physical activity, relationships, work-life balance
Do you only provide counseling or medicine?
त्यसपछि आवश्यकताअनुसार evidence-based counseling, Mind–Body education, nervous system regulation techniques, Yoga Medicine, breathing practices, lifestyle modification र personalized home practice समावेश गरिन्छ।
Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipiscing elit.
म healthcare professionals, hospitals, schools, colleges, government organizations, NGOs, corporate teams र community groups का लागि evidence-based training, workshops, seminars तथा keynote sessions सञ्चालन गर्छु।
Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipiscing elit.
